Cowes Week

This eight-day regatta of sailing and yacht racing is one of the largest and most famous in the world. Not only renowned for the racing spectacle but also the after race party's held in Cowes. Forget the IOW ferry traffic jams, view the races from the air, we fly direct to Cowes. A typical Cowes Week now has over thirty-five starts a day for classes of cruiser-racers, one off designs and keelboats, over a thousand boats and 8500 competitors take part. During this time the Solent is filled with boats of all classes and is particularly colourful due to the multi-coloured sails.

The week also includes a large number of onshore events including live music and cocktail parties. The regatta is famous for its fireworks launched from barges on the Solent on the final Friday.
