The London Sightseeing Tour – Helicopters                     

We offer our exclusive London Sightseeing Tours in three different helicopter types, all of the helicopters have forward facing seats making them ideal for seeing all of the sights on offer. The Robinson R44, seats up to 3 passengers, 1 in the front and 2 seats behind. The Airbus EC120, seats up to 4 passengers, 1 in the front and 3 seats behind. Non-exclusive flights are usually conducted in the Robinson R44 helicopters as this allows all 3 passengers to have there very own window so they can make the most of the London sightseeing tour and take pictures to their heart’s content.

The London Sightseeing Tour – Route

We depart from the lush Surrey countryside at Redhill Aerodrome, your helicopter will climb to over one thousand feet heading towards London City. We enter the London Control Zone just north of Epsom Racecourse following the heli-lanes past New Maldon, past Kingston Upon Thames and across Richmond Park home of the Royal Ballet School.

We join the River Thames at Barnes and follow it past a variety modern and historic landmarks as we meander along the water. On days when the sky is clear as well as landmarks dotted along the River you will also be able to see the Millennium Dome and the 2012 Olympic Stadium and surrounding buildings.

Some of the sights on your route:- Craven Cottage, Chelsea Football Club, Chelsea Harbour, Battersea Power Station, Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Vauxhall Bridge, Houses of Parliament, Millennium Eye, Trafalgar Square, Horse Guards, St Paul’s, The Globe Theatre, The City, The Tower of London, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge, Olympic Stadium, Canary Wharf, The O2 Dome, City Airport, The Thames Barrier, Isle of Dogs, Greenwich Park, The Royal Naval College, The Royal Observatory, Crystal Palace, Croydon City Centre and the Surrey countryside.

The London Sightseeing Tour – Olympic Extension

Should you choose an Olympic Extension to your London Sightseeing Tour you’ll marvel at the massive scale of the Olympic village and take in the surrounding scenery from the air. The village encompasses a world-class Aquatics Centre and the new Stratford international station in East London. Including this in your London tour adds an extra 10 minutes to the sightseeing flight and will make it a day to remember.

The London Sightseeing Tour – Tour Length

For our standard London sightseeing tour we suggest you allow approximately an hour for the whole experience. Once you arrive at our office you will met by one of our friendly pilots who will brief you on aviation safety and the tour route. The total flying time is approximately 35 minutes, subject to air traffic control etc. The Olympic Extension extends the total flight time to approximately 45 awe inspiring minutes.
